I never told you this in a blog post, but last year, I was lucky enough to be one of the Voices of the Year honorees for BlogHer15. It was a big honor for me and I’m hoping I’ll be nominated again this year, but I could use your help.
An award with incorrect spelling is better than no award at all.
The only downside to winning last year was I didn’t know I’d won until the event was over. Some how the email about winning got lost, so I missed going to the event, where my blog post, I Was 21 Before My Father Said, “I Love You” was up in giant print hanging for all to see. I received an email afterward because they were trying to track me down to send me the award. And the award was lovely, except they spelled my name wrong.
I want this year to to be different and I’m asking for your help. (I’ve been editing my posts for the last three days to make them even better – so, I owe you an awesome blog.) If one of my posts touched you, made you laugh, cry, or both, please take a moment to nominate me on the Blogher Nomination page listed below.
I don’t do this for awards, and I clearly don’t do it for the money. I do this because I love doing something that might entertain or touch you in some way — but that said, a blogging award, even with your name spelled wrong, does make you feel really good. I have faith that if I’m nominated this year, they’ll spell it right.
Below are links to a few of my favorite blog posts, and their length, but feel free to choose any blog post you liked. You can nominate anything from January 2015 to the present. Just click on this link to the Blogher Nomination page. The deadline to nominate blog posts is May 8, 2016.
Thank you in advance for your help!
My email address is Ftunnoblog@gmail.com. (You can search for specific posts by going to the search box on the left side of my blog website and typing in a word or two of the post you remember. You can also look them up by month. To get the URL of the blog post, just click on the blog post title and the entire post will be before you. Then go to the top of that page on your computer and copy and paste the title or the URL from the search bar. It’s often right beside the word address.
