Happy Birthday Ma!

I couldn’t let the Fourth of July go by without wishing my mom a Happy Birthday. I’ve been going through all the letters she and my dad sent me over the years and have been really humbled by the love and support they always offered their stinking daughter who moved away.

The only good thing about living far away is that I have all these mementos to look back on whenever I need a Mom or Dad fix, which is pretty often.
